Cornell Box in Blender

Description

OK so it's just the old Cornell Box that they managed to render some 20-odd years ago, but this one was made by me from scratch using blender 2.40 (running on Irix), which means that I've got some grasp of radiosity in blender and can now (hopefully) apply it to other scenes I create too!

Radiosity is what mades the soft shadows look realistic, as opposed to hard raytraced shadows which look like they were made in a computer.

Please give me advice, good settings to use in blender etc, to help improve my rendering; this one has problems (particularly around the base of the tall cube) which I think could be solved by increasing the subdivision of the floor and walls, but you tell me.
